Events and fests are exciting, aren't they? FootPrints is a three-day national-level technical event organized for the last 22 years. For the last 22 years, FootPrints has been recognized as the largest Techfest in Gujarat. There are various segments under which our event is divided. The event mainly focuses on the technical aspects of engineering. Still, to spice up things and prevent boredom in the schedule, we devised the idea of organizing a gaming event.

Competitive gameplays, thrills, and relaxation were the gaming zone's main motto. This zone was named virtuosity. The games consisted mainly of the online ones currently rocking the gaming industry.

BGMI, COD has been the central part of this event for a long.

Just a few years back, VR cricket was introduced to this event. It consisted of a virtual arena for you to play cricket. Apart from mobile games, a few more things were added up.

Participation in this event has been significant for years. Over the years, a trend has been set that the event would consist of at least a pc game and a mobile game. Valorant has been introduced since then.

The core-committee members of the event decide the rounds for these games.

Taking about the online games this year, BGMI and Valorant were the main games that were organized. BGMI had approximately 240 participants in the squad zone and 80 participants in the solo zone this year. It consisted of a squad of 4 players. As a result, 60 teams were set up in the squad section. The rounds started off with the solo matches covered first. Advanced customs were set up to enhance the participants' gameplay experience. After the solo game got over, winners were declared by the organizing team members based on their in-game stats during the match.

Later, it was time for the squad matches. The squad matches consisted of three games, each round with 20 squads grouped.

Seven squads were qualified from each group such that the final match consisted of 21 teams in total.

To make the event more interesting, a live stream was set up, which was being broadcasted on the other end of the campus along with commentary by the organizing team.

Overall, the BGMI event consisted of 5 matches in total, and the winning teams were awarded cash prizes.

Similarly, the valorant, under the pc gaming section, was organized by the core committee and the organizing team. It had quite a large number of rounds in total. Since the matches were played between just two teams consisting of 5 players each, it took nearly two working days before the event to manage it. It was broadcasted on the official page of MSU FootPrints on YouTube.

Both the games took nearly two days of the whole event.

Apart from the two online games, our team came up with the idea of an F1 simulation.

Since it was quite risky to replicate the real feel of an F1 car during the event, a simulator was set up for the participants to enhance their experience during the event. It was simply a one-time multiplayer race kind of thing.

The target of providing gamers a competitive environment has been successful for years. It is a whole special experience in itself. Virtuo!!
